Tony Lingham, Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior, Case Western Reserve University

Tony Lingham is currently the Professor of Organizational Behavior and Leadership in Antioch University’s PhD in Leadership and Change Program. Prior to joining Antioch University, Tony was a Professor in the Department of Organizational Behavior, Weatherhead School of Management (WSOM), Case Western Reserve Univeristy. His teaching and research interests are leadership assessment and development, Experiential Learning Theory, Learning Needs Theory of Motivation, learning flexibility, research methods, executive coaching, team coaching, and team learning and development. Tony Lingham is spearheading the globe with a structured process for team coaching involving the assessment of actual and desired states of a team engagement based on the experience in the work context; and these profiles relate to the innovative and execution capacities of a team. His work has been tested and validated over 15 years with teams ranging from Boards to functional teams and across countries (US, Latin America, China, and Europe). He uses his Team Learning Inventory (TLI) for team coaching and development and his Learning Needs Inventory (LNI) for individual coaching, learning and development. HE uses the LNI and the TLI as a two-phase approach to achieve High Impact Engagement in organizations. Both he and Bonnie Richley has developed the Design Summit based on this work that they use in organizational level change and strategic planning. He has published over 30 articles and presented his work in US and international conferences. He is also on the Advisory Board of e-Merit Academy.

He has also been a keynote speaker on teamwork in the SLADE conference in Buenos Aires; a panelist for a global seminar involving senior HR managers from 70 different countries; and an invited speaker on the significance of learning in leadership development in Belgium. He was also invited to be the moderator for a session on Leadership Development for Developing Leaders organized by the American College of Healthcare Executives of Northern Ohio (ACHENO) in April 2014 where he presented measuring and developing inter-professional teams. Tony is also a Senior Executive Coach and a Master Coach certified in Emotional Intelligence with the Hay Group and the founder of Interaction Science, LLC.

While at Case Western Reserve University, he received the Doctoral Teaching and Mentoring Award in 2013 and has been nominated for teaching excellence in 2002, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011, 2012 and 2013. Tony has taught courses in MBA, EMBA, executive and senior executive, and both PhD and Executive doctorate programs.

As an engaged scholar, he has been an organization, team and leadership consultant for over 18 years working with managers and leaders in multinational companies across the US, Europe, Africa and Asia both in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. His work spans strategic planning and Appreciative Inquiry at the organizational level; team and individual assessment, learning and development, developing High Impact Engagement, High Impact Teams, and using the innovative and executive processes in team coaching and organizational development. His clients include TUI Tourism (Global Office), Jesuit Refugee Services (international, regional and country directors), Bunge (Europe), Arcelor, Barnes Group Inc (US, Canada, Europe and Asia), Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Schools That Can, NASA (Houston); Penteo (for their Eurpoean Conference for CIOs at INSEAD, France), Danone, Benteler, The New York Music Festival Team, the Wilson Planning Cooperative and Cooperationworks!. Tony has also taught sessions on Developing Highly Successful and Functioning Teams at the Weatherhead Executive Education Center for organizations including PolyOne, ABB, American Greetings, Applied Industrial Technologies, Foseco, Military Aerospace, Karmanos Cancer Center, and PNC.

Prior to his academic life, Tony was the Principal Staff Officer (Logistics) in the Singapore Military with 14 secondary appointments, managing 250 personnel and a $multimillion budget and have won several awards for high performance. Certified in Advanced Facilitation in QCC, he was given the appointment as Chief Facilitator and Coach for quality control circles and won a bronze award in an Asian QCC Competition. He has also functioned as an engineer and musician for an artist cooperative in Singapore producing 60 road shows and several theater productions. Apart from his engineering background, he is also a classical concert guitarist and composer. Tony also speaks several Asian languages including Mandarin and Malay.

Bonnie Richley, Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior, Case Western Reserve University

Visiting Professor, Human Resources Department, ESADE Business School, Barcelona, 2004-2006.

Areas of Expertise: Action learning, social/business innovations, sustainability, coaching, team learning and development, Appreciative Inquiry, organizational values, coaching, leadership assessment and development, organizational change, gender in organizations, and organizational behavior and organization development. She co-developed the LNI, the TLI and the Design Summit for Interaction Science, LLC.

Bonnie A. Richley completed her PhD in Organizational Behavior at Case Western Reserve University where she also earned her

MSc in Organizational Development and Analysis. Her work involves positive organization development with expertise in Appreciative Inquiry; executive coaching as a trainer and master coach; and adult learning theories and competency development. She was a Visiting Professor at ESADE Business School in Spain for 2 years. Bonnie has taught action learning, sustainability, and team learning and development focusing on team leadership, team membership and client management at Case Western Reserve University where she is also a Master Executive Coach and was the lead faculty for an international institute. She has been appointed to the MBA Review (learning) where she is also developing a viable team program for the Full Time MBA program. She is also currently teaching Social Business Innovation at the doctoral level (PhD in Organizational Behavior); individual and team development for Masters in Finance students (MS Finance); and Sustainability for the Masters in Positive Organization Development (MPOD) students. She also functions as the Master Faculty Team coach for Full Time MBA thematic electives (Design, Sustainability) and their Finance capstone course. 

From 1987 through 2003 Bonnie worked for a variety of organizations in a management capacity including the international healthcare market. She spearheaded and directed the Center for International Relations at a major university hospital and was responsible for generating revenue of approximately $2.5 million. She has also been involved in the strategic planning and program development for the office of Urban Health at the School of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University. Her work experience includes serving as the Executive Director for the Center for Business as an Agent of World Benefit, Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University. As an organizational development consultant, Bonnie works with organizations in the for-profit and the not-for profit sectors in the U.S. and abroad. Her consulting practice and work experience has focused on executive coaching, leadership training, strategic planning, program development, organizational change, and team building. Clients include: Cleveland Schools that Can (C-STC), TUI Tourism International, Jesuit Refugee Services, The American Red Cross, University Hospitals of Cleveland, KALEIDOSCOPE Magazine, Case Western Reserve University, and the Wilson Planning Cooperative. She is a partner and co-founder of Interaction Science, LLC.

She has published papers and presented at conferences on social business innovations (SBIs), values, positive organizational change, teams, gender issues, and leadership training. She is also co-author of a book entitled, Managing by Values (2006, Palgrave MacMillan). She has teaching experience in Leadership Assessment and Development for Senior Executives, EMBAs, MBAs, Organizational Behavior courses for MBAs, MSODAs and MPODs. Bonnie is also a certified Executive Coach for Emotional Intelligence Competencies and has conducted basic and advanced coaching training at ESADE (Barcelona, Spain), Case and for organizations. She is also an invited guest speaker on issues to include Appreciative Inquiry, sustainability, leadership, change, adult learning theories, organizational learning, competency development, and coaching. She is on the editorial board for two journals, Journal of Business Strategy and KCA Journal of Business Management.
